Hannah Clark Kirkland, age 78, of Granbury, Texas passed away peacefully in her home on Dec. 20, 2018. A Memorial Service will be held on Dec. 27, at Wiley Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M.
Hannah was born in Hollis, OK to Granville and Alma Clark on Oct. 19, 1940. She grew up on a ranch in Childress County that had been in her family since 1898. She married her childhood sweetheart Mike Kirkland on May 23, 1958. Together they made their home on the ranch and were blessed with three children Kim Weldon, Melaney Dow, and Clark Kirkland.
Hannah loved her job as a Paralegal for 25 years. In 2006 they retired and moved to Granbury, TX. She enjoyed playing bridge, P.E.O., and writing a cooking column for the DeCordova Bend Magazine. She was active in the First Baptist Church in Acton where she was a member of the Bereavement Committee, because she was able to indulge her love of cooking for others.
She is survived by her husband, Mike Kirkland of the home, Kim and husband Ted Weldon of Granbury, Melaney and husband Neal Dow of Edmond, OK and Clark Kirkland of Ft. Smith, AR. She also has 6 grandchildren Ashley Bonina, Dustin Weldon, Neely Scully, and Elizabeth Dow, Sabrina Kirkland, and Kattie VanZandt. She has 5 great-grandchildren Emma Weldon, Alexandra Bonina, Madelyn Bonina, Bobby Scully and Margo Scully. She was preceded in death by one sister and both parents.
