Harold Gaines Sanders

October 28, 1935 - June 20, 2016

Harold Gaines Sanders passed away peacefully Monday, June 20, 2016, with his family at his side.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, June 23, in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Committal with military honors will be at 11:30 a.m. in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Lone Star Veterans Association.

Mr. Sanders faithfully served in the United States Marine Corps and the United States Postal Service. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the military never left him, as friends and family will attest.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Mary L. Sanders.

Mr. Sanders is survived by his seven siblings, 14 children, 37 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
