Kirk L. Zehnder left a message on April 26, 2023:
We had the wonderful privilege of knowing Harold Russell for over 15 years during the time we lived in Weatherford, Texas, and he and his wife Patsy attended The Fellowship at Weatherford. As a pastor, there are many people that are dear to your heart. Yet, there are some that you become especially close to. Harold was such a man for my wife Karen and me. We had many wonderful opportunities to share life together and to get to know Harold's love for the Lord and His passion for God's people in Israel. Harold and I even had the opportunity to be roommates at one of our annual Men's Retreats. We spent the time sharing about the Lord, His faithfulness, and the wonderful blessings He has given us through His Word. Harold also loved his family greatly. When he and Patsy renewed their vows on their 50th wedding anniversary it was my honor to officiate. I witnessed their love for each other and the great love and support they have both in their immediate family and in the family of God. When I spoke to Harold on the very last night of his life with us we closed in a time of prayer. Harold proclaimed his trust in the faithfulness and love of God. It was just a few hours when Harold met this personally in the arms of Jesus! We will miss Harold greatly and our love and prayers are extended to Patsy and their entire family. May the God of all comfort and grace uphold and sustain them until we all meet again with Harold at the feet of Jesus. In Christ's Love, Pastor Kirk and Karen Zehnder
