Harold was born on January 24, 1936 to Lloyd and Allie Small in Diboll, Texas. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked at the U.S. Clerk’s office until 1980, when he started selling real estate. In 1982, he went on his first trip to Israel, which was an introduction to what would become his life’s passion. Another approximately thirty trips would follow in which a unique ministry would develop. He would go on to baptize over 600 people in the Jordan River and begin a work which is still active. At home he pastored three churches and made the work of the Lord his sole mission. He was preceded in death by his son: James Harold Small, father: Lloyd Henry Small, mother: Allie Stepherson Small, sisters: Geraldine Millican, Dolly Millican, Melva Herndon, Mary Torbert, and Janet James.
Harold was survived by his wife: Juanita Small, sons: David Fortson, Steven Small, nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and sisters: Johnnie Larsen and Wanda Loving.
