Harold was born on November 30, 1927 in Brownwood, Texas to Burton and Josephine Melane. He proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Navy, Army Air Corp, and the Air Force.
Harold married Shirley Wiley in 1954 in Brownwood, Texas. He worked in advertising for 35 years at The Dallas Morning News.
Harold is survived by his wife of 65 years: Shirley Melane, children: Marc Melane and wife Lisa, and Marisa Melane, and granddaughter: McKenzie Melane.
