Capt. Jim Hodgson CAL (Ret) left a message on November 24, 2018:
Although I was with CAL for 34 years I did not meet him until after he retired. I was part of a group that contacted Harry about the Travell Air 5000 he owned that once belonged to Amon Carter, Sr. Harry had devoted many years to the restoration of that airplane but was unable to complete the project. The group I was associated purchased the airplane and completed the restoration. It is proudly on display in downtown Fort Worth with Harry credited for preserving it and the legacy of commercial aviation it represents. It was my pleasure to get to know Harry and Jackie through that process and afterward. He was a great North Texas aviation history resource. I will miss the association.

When Harry and I returned to work at CAL in 1986 we shared a crash pad in Humble Tx for several years. What a great person to be around. Great humor. Many great memories.

Harry took me up in his airplane. I was about 9. It was the best. He was so nice to me growing up. It meant a lot to me.
