GLEN ROSE — Helen Francis Wilson, 90, passed away Monday, Oct. 26, 2015, in Glen Rose.
Memorial service: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, at Grace Community Church in Glen Rose. Private burial services were held at Squaw Creek Cemetery in Rainbow.
Helen was born Jan. 27, 1925, in Dallas, to Nathan and Cera Annie Brown McGlathery. She married William Donald Wilson, Nov. 30, 1945, in Longview, Texas, and he preceded her in death in Aug. 1989. She had lived in Glen Rose since 1980 and was a member of Grace Community Church. Mrs. Wilson did volunteer work for Mission Service Corp., Volunteers of America in Fort Worth and the nursing homes in Glen Rose. She had worked as a financial secretary and as church secretary at Emmanuel Baptist Church. She worked as church secretary and librarian at Ridglea Baptist Church in Fort Worth. Helen was also preceded in death by her parents, sister, Billie Fay McGlathery, brothers, James and Glen McGlathery and brothers-in-law, Robert Hightower and Jim Still.
Survivors: Daughters, June Hightower of Denton, Donna Still of Chandler, Ariz., Kay Douglas and husband, Bob, of Glen Rose; grandchildren, Paul Hightower, Dona Perkins and husband, Bill, Ashleigh Douglas, Collin Douglas, Steven Still and wife, Randi; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Tom McGlathery and wife, Sheryl of Kerrville, Texas.
