GRANBURY — Helen Marsh Saffle, 89, passed away Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016 in Granbury.
Service: 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016 at Wiley Funeral Home with a Rosary at 1:00 p.m. Saturday.
Interment: Holly Hills Memorial Park.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Helen was born Nov. 17, 1926 in Winters to Earl N. and Melvina Patton Marsh. She married Cecil J. Saffle on Aug. 11, 1945 in Waco. He passed away April 24, 2003. Helen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She had been a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church since 1974 and very active in Lake Granbury Hospital Auxiliary for 40 years, retiring in 2014. She was active with her husband with Hood County Republicans, working all of the elections and going to the Republican Conventions. Helen loved growing roses in her front yard and was a member of the Granbury Garden Club Petals and Pals, receiving yard of the month several times. She was a talented seamstress and an amazing cook.
Survivors: Children, Elizabeth Saffle Packard and husband, Glen, Gary Saffle and wife, Gayle, Cathy Saffle Bauer and husband, Fred and Michael Saffle and wife, Cathy; grandchildren, Kelly, Justin, Wayne, Cole, Kristel, Skylar, Freddie, Tanner, Alexa and Madison; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Essie Lou “Pat” Wilson; sister-in-law, Theresa Timberlake; and brother-in-law, Bill Briggs.
