Helen Popp Swaim
Born December 1, 1918 on the family farm in Henry County, Ohio, passed away at age 95 in Granbury, Texas. She lived most of her life in the Toledo, Ohio area. Helen loved to play pranks on family and friends. Most of her life was spent as a homemaker however; at one time she was a top sales person for Stanley Home Products. She loved cooking, baking and playing bingo when not playing card games with her children and grandchildren.
Helen was pre-deceased by her parents, Joseph Smith and Julia Shivley Smith of Holgate, Ohio, husband, Oliver Swaim, and her siblings, Donald Smith, Vivian Nelson, Eugenia Bortz, Lou Ella Smith, Marvin Smith and Mildred Smith, step-daughter Phyllis Popp Babel, step-son Joseph E. Popp, and grandson David Scott Werling.
She is survived by her beloved daughters, Jacqueline Werling, Judy Koenig, Sandy Haberkamp of Granbury, Texas and Helen Matejowsky of Oregon, Ohio.
Helen was blessed with ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great- granddaughter.
