Helen R. Lorden, age 87, passed away peacefully at Mira Vista Nursing Home, Fort Worth, Texas.
Service: 11:00 am – 1:00 pm Friday, December 2, 2022 at McGaffigan Funeral Home, 37 Main Street, Pepperell, Massachusetts. A Catholic priest will be in attendance to offer prayers.
Interment: St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Jersey Street, Pepperell, Massachusetts.
Helen was born in St. Gerard, Province of Quebec, Canada on April 27, 1935. She was married to Norman A. Lorden for 52 years before his death in 2006. Helen and Norman raised 6 children in Pepperell.
Helen was always involved in her local church, wherever she lived. She was an avid fundraiser; she organized and managed many successful “church suppers”. Helen also loved singing and performing, she loved all forms of musical theatre. Throughout the years, her favorite activity was to attend a live musical performance with her husband, Norman or friends. She was skilled at crocheting, knitting, cake decorating and many forms of craft, handy work.
She maintained a busy lifestyle well into her older years. Helen was a hardworking, busy and lively woman, she was always on the go. She had many friends and was always willing to lend a hand. Throughout her life, Helen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed by many.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Norman and her sons, James and Paul Lorden,
She is survived by her daughter, Denise Duemmling and husband, Paul of Naples, ME; son, Mark Lorden and wife, Linda of Sacramento, CA,; son, Christopher Lorden and wife, Monika of Ft. Worth, TX; daughter, Susan Strause and husband, Craig of Sunrise Beach Village, TX; her brother, Gilles Labonville; her sister, Suzanne Palmer; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and relatives.
