Howell “Gene” Eugene Owen

Howell Eugene “Gene” Owen, 84, went Home to be with his Lord and his loving wife of 58 years, Lila “Dean” Owen on Sunday; September 13, 2020.
Gene was born April 17, 1936 in Red Boiling Springs, TN. to Chester and Nellie Forkum Owen.
He loved his family and grandkids and was famous for his storytelling. Gene loved the country life, he really enjoyed watching the deer while they lived at Pecan Plantation. He and Dean spent many weekends going to concerts at Billy Bob’s and dancing.
Gene is survived by his daughter, Lesa Kimbrow and husband David Kimbrow; grandchildren, Kelsi Musmecci, Dylan Kimbrow and Logan Musmecci; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Morton, Kallan Kimbrow, Kambrie Morton and Degan Kimbrow; sister, Dixie Morgan and husband Bobby; niece, Beverly Carter and husband Randy and by a nephew, Ronnie Morgan and wife Angie.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lila “Dean” Owen on September 19, 2019 and by a granddaughter, Leah Kimbrow Morton on January 29, 2020.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM. to 8:00 PM. Thursday; September 17, 2020 at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury.
Graveside services will be held 12 Noon on Friday; September 18, 2020 at Hillcrest Garden of Memory Cemetery in Hillsboro, TX.
