Upon his return to the States, he served in the Army National Guard while taking graduate classes in art at the University of Texas in Austin. After meeting and marrying Gloria Barton, the couple settled in Odessa, Texas where he pursued a career in commercial art, becoming Advertising Manager at Sears Roebuck and Company –
eventually landing in sales.
Gary was passionate about travel and was thrilled to visit places around the world including Israel, Egypt, Europe, Australia, Greece and China. Gary loved his church, First Baptist Church of Granbury and served faithfully as a Deacon. He had a servant’s heart and was devoted to spreading the love of Jesus in service and in generosity.
