GRANBURY — Ila Faye McQueen Davis, 98, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014, in Granbury.
Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Granbury Church of Christ. Burial: Granbury Cemetery. Visitation with family and friends will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Davis was born Oct. 1, 1915, in the Neri community in Hood County, Texas, to R.B. and Doskie Sue McDaniel. She was a life long resident of Hood County, her pioneer family settling in the Mitchell Bend community. Preceding her in death were her parents; two husbands, Jack McQueen and Wilburn Davis; son, Charles; twin sister, Lila, sister, Zula Helen; and brothers, Alvin and Herman.
Survivors: Daughter, Betty Tippett of Granbury; grandson, Robert Tippett of Granbury; granddaughter, Debra Lawrence of Fort Worth; great grandchildren, Stacy Dredge and husband, Simon, of Santa Clarita, Calif., Sean Tippett and wife, Amy, of Bedford, Justin Tippett and wife, Oanh, of San Antonio; and seven great great grandchildren.
