GLEN ROSE — Ima Lou Phillips, 97, passed away Sunday, Mar. 22, 2015, in Glen Rose.
Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Mar. 25, 2015, at Brazos Point Church in Brazos Point. Burial: Brazos Point Cemetery. Visitation: Noon until service time at Brazos Point Church.
Ima Lou was born Mar. 24, 1917, in Hico, Texas, to William Henry Cabell and Mary Jane Thomas Cabell. She married Tom F. Phillips in 1931 in Glen Rose. She was a resident of Eulogy and a member of Brazos Point Church. She was also a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy in Glen Rose. Ima Lou loved baking, sewing, canning and reading her bible. She would underline meaningful passages to share with her children. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Survivors: Sons, Tommy Phillips and wife, Linda, of Glen Rose, Wendell F. Phillips and wife, Brenda, of Cleburne, Wayne Phillips and wife, Marilyn, of Glen Rose; daughters, Louise Mears and Lena Mae Dixon, both of Cleburne; 12, grandchildren; numerous great and great great grandchildren; niece Jodi Nafis and husband, Dave, of Willington, Conn.; nephew, Lovell Phillips of Joshua.
