Iola Bogard

DECORDOVA — Iola Bogard, 97, passed away Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, in Granbury.
Private memorial services have been held.
Mrs. Bogard was born Nov. 26, 1914, in Sterling City, Texas, to Frank and Bessie Lee House Latham. Iola was an avid golfer from Amarillo Country Club, Lake Tawakoni Golf Club and DeCordova Bend Estates. She was also an accomplished artist. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, J.W. “Bill” Bogard, son, Master Chief William Frank Bogard, HTC, USN, and granddaughter, Sherri Lee Phillips.
We will miss our mother, grandmother, great grandmother and best friend.
Survivors: Daughters, Linda Bogard, Mary Backman and husband, Jack; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two great great granchildren.
