Jack Brooks Flory, 78, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. His body has been donated for medical research to UNTHSC. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Per his request, there will be no service at this time.
Jack was born on April 27, 1939, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Harold and Maudine Flory. He graduated from Diamond Hill-Jarvis High School in 1957, then went on to play football at Cisco and Kilgore Junior Colleges. He married LaMoyne Hickson in Fort Worth in 1960, and together they had three children.
Jack was a car enthusiast who enjoyed a 42-year career in the auto industry as a salesman and sales manager. The Florys moved to Granbury in 1976. After retiring in 2001, Jack and LaMoyne loved the years they spent travelling the world.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Byron Flory, and brother Lon Flory.
Jack is survived by his wife LaMoyne Flory, daughter Cheryl Walters and husband Bill of Granbury; son Clay Flory and wife Jeni of Salt Lake City, Utah; grandchildren: Zachary Walters, Ethan Flory and Emily Flory; sisters: MayNell Hill, Sandra Davis, and Lynn Willborn; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and beloved pets Sadie and Simon.
Jack will be greatly missed by his loving family, friends, and community. He leaves many memories to cherish.
