Jack B. Lowrey Sr.

March 7, 1934 - June 30, 2015

On Tuesday, June 30, 2015, Jack B. Lowrey Sr. went to be with the Lord.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Springtown, 500 N. Main St., Springtown, Texas 76082.

Jack was born on March 7, 1934, to Grover and Louise Lowrey in Fort Worth. Jack served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was actively involved with his local VFW until 2005.

In 1954, Jack met the love of his life, Mary Mims. The two married November 24, 1954. Together they were blessed with a son, Jack B. Lowrey Jr., and daughter, Peggy J. Lowrey Slater. They were happily married 61 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, two sisters and three brothers.

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Mary; his children, Jack and wife, Pam, and Peggy; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
