On Tuesday, October 9, 2018, Jack A. Wilson, beloved uncle, brother, husband, father and godfather passed away at the age of 92.
A Memorial Service will be Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Acton United Methodist Church in Granbury, Texas.
Jack was born in Goggins, Georgia on December 24, 1925. He was employed by Central of Georgia Railroad for a short time before moving to Texas as an insurance auditor for INA. After retiring he moved to Pecan Plantation.
Jack was a World War II Veteran, member of Acton United Methodist Church, third generation Mason, award winning Photographer; Skater; Square dancer and clogger; Master woodworker and acclaimed baker. He volunteered with the Boy Scouts and at elementary schools in Rockport and Granbury and aided young children in the reading programs. He always aspired to be the best in all he undertook.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son and wife, four brothers and two sisters. He is survived by sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and dear friends.
He was known for his quick wit, infectious smile, kind, loving and compassionate sprit.
