SRINGTOWN — James A. Hamilton, 33, a faithful husband, dedicated father, loyal son, trustworthy friend and steadfast Christ follower, finished this life strong on Sunday, March 11, 2012, surrounded by family and friends in Houston.
Service: 10 a.m. Saturday at Center Point Church, 7804 Mid-Cities Blvd., North Richland Hills.
Burial: Springtown-Goshen Cemetery in Parker County.
Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Center Point Church.

James was born March 12, 1978, in Granbury, to Jimmy and Catherine Looney Hamilton. He graduated from Springtown High School in 1996 and married Cynthia “Melissa” Murdock on Sept. 21, 2002 in Fort Worth.
James was a heart transplant survivor at the age of 18, and an advocate for organ donor awareness. As an author, he had written two novels and was actively pursuing publication. He was a faithful member of Center Point Church and wrote numerous books and lessons for small-group curriculum.
James was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Looney Hamilton.
Survivors: Wife of 10 years, Melissa Hamilton; sons, Bowen, age 8, and Gavin, age 3; father, Jimmy Hamilton and wife, Guadalupe; brother, Colt Hamilton and wife, Lydia; sister, Catey and husband, Dan; aunts, uncles and numerous friends from boyhood.
