GRANBURY — James C. Skinner, 94, passed away Monday, Apr. 2, 2012, in Granbury.
Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Friday, Apr. 6, 2012, at Wiley Funeral Home. Burial: 10:15 a.m. Monday, Apr. 9, 2012 at Dallas – Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Mr. Skinner was born Jan. 28, 1918, in Brainerd, Minn., to Samuel and Mary McCartney Skinner. He married Mary J. Stauffenberg, Nov. 19, 1994, in Cary, Ill. He was a heating and air conditioning installer and had received his 70 year membership pin from Pipe Fitters Local 597 in Chicago, Ill. He was a lifetime member of Valley of Chicago and Medinah Shriners in Chicago. He was also a member of the Granbury Masonic Lodge 392, Moslah Shrine and the Granbury Shrine Club. Mr. Skinner was a member of Granbury First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors: Wife, Mary Skinner of Granbury; son, James P. Skinner and wife, Cynthia, of Algonquin, Ill.; grandchildren, James Skinner, Jon Skinner, Jessica Skinner; step-son, Bruce Stauffenberg and wife, Dena, of Ariz.; step-daughter, Donna Raube and husband, Tom, of Ariz.; five step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.
