DECORDOVA — James David Price, 70, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014, in Dallas.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Acton Baptist Church. Burial: Aledo Brown Cemetery in Aledo. Visitation: with family and friends will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Wiley Funeral Home.
James was born Jan. 31, 1944, in Clovis, N.M., to Jeff and Josephine Williams Price. He married Martha Morrow, Oct. 31, 1981, in Arlington. James had lived in Granbury the past six years and was a member of Acton Baptist Church. He held a master’s degree in education from Stephen F. Austin University. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Jim taught and coached for a total of 30 years in Clovis, N.M., and Arlington. He retired after a successful career in 2002. Even after retiring he continued to enjoy golf, basketball, baseball and all other sports. He was a beloved husband, brother, coach and friend. Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors: Wife, Martha Price of DeCordova; sister, Betty Rae Snipes and husband, Bob, of Clovis, N.M.; brother, Donny Price of Albuquerque, N.M.; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
