James Luker

James “Bubba” Luker, 39, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2019. Services were held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at Wiley Funeral Home Chapel, in Granbury, Graveside service was held at 1:30 PM, Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at Board Church Cemetery in Comanche, Texas with visitation from 6:00 PM -8:00 PM, Monday, July 15, 2019 at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury.

Bubba was born in Stephenville, Texas on November 26, 1979 to James and Debbie.

He was raised in Granbury, Texas. As a kid, Bubba, loved spending time at Ma and Pa’s house, playing sports and camping in the pop up. He attended Granbury High School where he played football. He graduated in 1998.

In 2004 he graduated from the Police Academy. He joined the Wichita Falls Police Department. He then transferred to the Irving Police Department in 2006 where he served as an officer, detective and sergeant.

In 2005, he married his high school sweet heart Jennifer Michelle DeLong. They have two girls Hadley Mae (11) and Landry Rae (8). Bubba loved spending time with his girls. They enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time together at the land. They have fond memories of their trips to Disney World, Las Vegas and snow skiing trips to Colorado.

Bubba also enjoyed hunting with his dad, fishing, snow skiing, Cowboy games, wood working and hanging out with family and friends in the shade listening to music and telling stories. He made friends everywhere he went. He had the biggest heart and loved with all of it.

Bubba lives on through his family and friends. He is survived by his daughters Hadley Mae Luker and Landry Rae Luker; his father James Luker and mother Debbie Rinehart and her husband Kenny; his grandmother Billie Jean Couch; sister Teri Breedlove and husband Ryan; nephews and niece Devin, Averi and Owen; Aunt Quatia Wright and husband Stacy, Uncle Curtis Couch and wife Susan, Uncle Ken Luker and wife Barbara; cousins Kim Schouten, Kendra Loutherback, Rory Couch and Jerod Couch; as well as other family and many friends.
