James Michael Fortson, 53, of Fort Worth, Texas passed away July 20, 2018. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Lakeside Baptist Church, Granbury.

James was born on August 8, 1964 in Fort Worth, Texas to James and Sherry Smith Fortson. James loved fishing, hunting and cooking. He was a jokester and enjoyed making people laugh. He would sing jingles and make up songs. James was artistic and enjoyed drawing. He would post his Bible studies on Facebook. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. James was preceded in death by his father, James Odell Fortson.

James is survived by his loving wife: Paula Fortson; daughter: Mollie Kay Fortson; mother: Sherry Fortson Smith, brothers: Steven Kyle Fortson and Robert Paul Fortson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
