James Travis Traynham, 88, a retired home builder, died peacefully Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, at home.
Service: 11 a.m. Monday at Ash Creek Baptist Church. Interment: Ash Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Biggers Funeral Home.

Mr. Traynham was born August 24, 1923, in Atlanta, Georgia, and lived in Fort Worth for 85 years. He graduated from Tech High School in 1941, and served in the United States Navy Air Corps during World War II.
Travis married Narrel Marie Teague on March 8, 1945, in Fort Worth.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Lakeside.
He is survived by: His wife, Narrel; children, Mark Traynham and wife, Elaine, Lanelle O’Neill and husband, Kenneth, Paula Taylor and husband, Gaylon, and Linda Traynham Matthews; grandchildren, Jesse, Jacob, K.C., Patrick, Liz, Allison, Mason, Parker, Tori and Bea; seven great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.
