James Wylie Strickland, Jr., 82, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020.  Memorial service: 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 19, 2020, Grace Fellowship Church, Kilgore, Texas.

James was born on February 19, 1938 in Henderson, Texas to James and Lula Strickland.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army.  He retired from TUMCO after many years of dedicated service.

He was preceded in death by his:  Wife – Judy Strickland, Daughter – Laci Jo Betterton, Son-In-Law – James Betterton, Mother – Lula Bell Strickland, and Father – James Wylie Strickland Sr.

He is survived by his Son – James Grady Strickland and wife Missy of Granbury, Texas  Daughter – Dianna Parodi and husband Nick of Alton, Iowa, Grandchildren – James Michael Strickland – Waco Texas, Lance Daniel of Henderson Texas, Step Grandchildren- Jasmine Donovan and husband Bryan of Granbury, Fantasy Rodriguez and husband Aaron of Austin; and Jaci Brooks of Granbury, Brother-in law- Tommy Vardeman and wife Sharon of Holly Lake; Sister- in law-Donna Fraser and Hugh of Houston; nieces and nephews, Julie Tauzin and husband Paul, Jennifer Breedlove and husband James, David Fisher and wife Rachel, and Joanne Laeding and husband Russell, and numerous great-grandchildren and great-nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
