Jan , She was such a breath of fresh air to Mission Granbury as well as a Friend, she is truly missed every food distribution day! during the summer time mostly she would put together lil gifts of kindness for the children it may have been a cute outfit, candy, toys whatever she could come up with to make them feel special while waiting for food. sometimes Lil gift's would appear on your desk , she definatly stored her treasures in Heaven. But the "Cutest " thing she ever did was send mail to her granddaughter with a dollar every week. and she'd make it a point without fail.. Such Faithfulness to her Family God Bless you all I know she's left you with a Legacy to carry on!!!
Richard Root left a message on July 6, 2015:
I had the honor of working with Jan at Mission Granbury as a volunteer for 5 years. We worked closely together in the Food Pantry. She was especially close to the many families with children. I loved her deeply, and she will be missed. Heaven is a much happier place with her warmth and smile.

Our lives became intertwined with Jan over 20 years ago when our children married. Over the years we shared many special events. Together, we laughed a lot and shed a few tears. We will remember her and the memories and take comfort in knowing that she is peacefully at rest.
