Jason Dean Kimmell, 48, of Granbury, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury. Burial of cremains: 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2017 in Elm Cemetery, County Road 365 in Gorman. While flowers are welcome, the family suggests contributions to the Elm Cemetery Association at DeLeon Auto Supply, 200 North Texas Street, DeLeon, TX 76444.

Jason graduated from Granbury High School and attended Trinity University and the University of Texas Arlington.

He is survived by his parents, Frank and Sandra Kimmell of Granbury and a host of family and friends.

Jason was one of the good guys. He was my friend, my fellow drum major and a shining light in this world. I'll miss him and our occasional lunch dates of catching up with each other. I know you're singing with the angels. RIP my friend. Prayers for peace and comfort to your mom and dad during this sad and heartbreaking time.

I will miss you my dear sweet friend, you will always be considered one of my few (for life) best friends. So many memories to add to this page, but I will add my wedding as the most memorable. You flying from Dallas to Atlanta and singing at our wedding.

This is such heart breaking news. Jason brought me into the Turtle Creek Chorale 20 years ago. At the time we sang together at Cathedral of Hope with so many other wonderful friends. I knew Jason for quite a few years before that. We had so many great times together singing, dancing, and just enjoying life. Peace and Love to you Jason, and to the family you left behind.

Dear Frank & Sandra: I just learned of Jason's passing as I read the Dallas Morning News today. So sorry to learn of your loss. Although I never met Jason, I remember your talking about him when we worked together at LPC. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May God give you peace and comfort at this difficult time, and in the days to come.

Jason was special to our family from the day of his birth. He was a beautiful little boy who served at our wedding as ring bearer in 1976. He was a beautiful man of great courtliness, kindness, and warmth. He will be forever remembered and forever loved. We know you will miss him always, Sandra and Frank.????❤️????

Heartbreaking to hear of Jason's passing. He takes up a special place in my heart. Prayers for his family in this unimaginable time. I love you Jason. You are now singing with the other Angels.

My deepest sympathies to Frank and Sandra for your loss. Jason was a very special person and I owe him my life. It's ironic that on the 1 year anniversary of him helping me to go to rehab and saving my life he is no longer in ours. I will miss him so much.

Jason was a friend to me at Granbury High School. He and I eventually dated for a short while. I truly admired his musical ability, his sense of style, and most of all his kind sincere friendship. I am shocked and sad to hear of this unexpected loss of a kind, lovable soul. He is one of the people that will always occupy my memories of fond days and warm feelings. I'll truly miss you Jason.

Jason was a dear and loving soul. A quick wit and a beautiful smile, his eyes always bright when we met. I am deeply saddened by this terrible loss. May he rest in peace and light perpetual shine upon him. Amen.

Frank and Sandra, William and I are so sorry for your loss. Jason was such a caring, beautiful soul. He loved to sing and was always so much fun at the Indian Mountain campouts. I am sure he's in Heaven's choir. Love to you both.
