Steve, Jake, and I loved Winn like part of our family. We had some really fun times camping and often laughter filled our times together. He had many gifts, in particular his singing and guitar playing. He told great stories and was so very patient. We are so blessed to have known such a wonderful person. Winn, you will be remembered with love.

It’s hard to say goodbye to someone God put directly in your path not only for you to help them on their journey, but for them to help you on yours. Our relationship was proof positive that God works in mysterious ways and He has a plan. Winn was like a brother to me. We enjoyed trips to the boats in Shreveport and Jazz Fest, a love of music, and playing Scrabble. Scrabble started out the old fashion way on a game board with wooden tiles, but with the distance life put between us, online became our method of play. We laughed together, we worshipped God together, and we overcame struggles together. He volunteered in the community with Habitat for Humanity, attended men’s Bible Study and went on missions trips. Winn was a good man and I just don’t have the words to explain how deeply I will miss him. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken-hearted. He bandages their wounds. I have faith this will happen. Jerrell, prayers for comfort for you and your family. Winn was over the top proud of you and your family.

Winn was a wonderful cousin. I have so many fond memories of him. When we were young, we had so much fun playing at the ranch and just acting silly. We played games and even made up songs together. We have kept in contact over the years mainly on facebook and calls just to say hello and find out what was happening. We both enjoyed jokes and funny things that were posted on facebook and often shared them with each other for a laugh. Winn, you have a wonderful son, Jerrell, that will continue to make you proud. I love you and will miss you. May you Rest in Peace.
