GRANBURY — GRANBURY — Jerry W. Flournoy, 73, of Granbury, passed away February 20, 2014 in Granbury. Service: 2:00 P.M., Monday, February 24, 2014, Granbury Baptist Church, Granbury. Interment: Holly Hills Memorial Park, Granbury. Visitation: 6:00-8:00 PM, Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials: Saint Jude Children Hospital.
Jerry was born January 19, 1941 in Breckenridge, Texas to Byron Floy Flournoy and Maydale McGlothlin Flournoy. He graduated for Granbury High School. He worked as a Union Workers Organizer for the Steel Workers Union. He married Shirley Walker on August 20, 1960 in Granbury. She preceded him in death on June 24, 2004. Jerry married Sandra Everette on July 2, 2010 in Granbury.
Jerry loved to square dance and liked remote control airplanes and helicopters. He played the fiddle, and loved his workshop “Man Cave” in the backyard. Jerry was preceded in death by his sister, Joy Dale Linn.
Survived: Wife, Sandra Flournoy. Children, Deborah Armstrong, Terri and Monty Drake, Troy and Cathy Everette, Stephanie and Ronnie Daffan. Grandchildren, Alyx Drake-Gericke and husband John-Wesley, Jessicca Drake, Sean Armstrong, Stacy Armstrong, Lauren Daffan-Hamm and husband Chad, Cody Daffan. Great Grandchild, Farrah Joy Armstrong. Brother-in-Law, Glen Robert Monroe. Sister-in-Law, Patricia Hudson. Loving pet, Susie.
