Jewell Norman, 91, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully in Fort Worth on Monday, Feb. 20, 2012.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Interment: Ash Creek Cemetery in Azle.
Jewell was born May 20, 1920, in Knox City to Henry and Beatrice Floyd. She married Charlie Norman of Rule on July 29, 1937, and they lived and farmed in Rule until 1955. She had resided in Fort Worth for the past 57 years and enjoyed spending time at their home at Possum Kingdom Lake.
Jewell was a very kind and loving person. She was always the care-giver — she truly enjoyed helping and taking care of others. She worked as a seamstress in the Lake Worth area. She was dedicated to her family always providing support and encouragement. She was truly proud of her children and grandchildren and of all their accomplishments, setting the example to always do your best.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Norman.
Survivors include her son, Robert Earl Norman and wife, Judy; daughter, Betty Curran and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Karla Norman, Kelley Norman and wife, Sonja, Shelly Avalos and husband, Danny, and Scott Curran and wife, Chaney; great-grandchildren, Niki Folsom and husband, Nicholas, Cortlin Fulgham, Britney Norman, and Victoria and Cole Avalos; great-great-grandchildren, Mason and Madeline Folsom; and numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.
