GRANBURY — Jimmie Joe Schultz, 79, passed away Tuesday, Apr. 10, 2012, in Granbury.
Graveside service: 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Apr. 15, 2012, at Forest Hill Cemetery in Idabel, Okla. with full military honors.
Mr. Schultz was born Sept. 8, 1932, in DeQueen, Ark., to James Wilson Schultz and Ida May Cockerham Schultz. He married Virginia Nell Gaines, Apr. 24, 1952, in Idabel. Mr. Schultz was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War and retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service and then retired from Moore Business Forms Company after 25 years service. He traveled extensively in his motor home around the United States. Jimmie was a avid hunter and fisherman, a University of Texas Longhorn fan and a Texas Ranger fan. At one time he and his wife owned a home on Broken Bow Lake near Idabel. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Texarkana, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Schultz; brother, Jack Schultz; and sister-in-law, Loreen Schultz.
Survivors: Son, Jimmy Dale Schultz and wife, Sharon Gail, of Granbury; daughter, Vicki Lynne Schultz-Henry and husband, Craig, of Woodbridge, Conn.; grandchildren, Jennifer Schultz Taylor and husband, Nathan, of Marquette, Mich., Jamie Leigh Schultz of Granbury, Natalie Schultz-Henry of Woodbridge, Conn.; sisters-in-law, Barty Shipp of Idabel, Linda Reich and husband, Kenneth of Idabel; brother-in-law, Charlie Gaines and wife, Martha, of Oklahoma City; and step-sister, Jean Schultz.
