Joe Dale Ridings

Joe Dale Ridings, 67, of Glen Rose, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020.  Service: 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 10, 2020, Wiley Funeral Home, Glen Rose, Interment: Georges Creek Cemetery, Viewing: 12:00 Noon – 6:00 PM, Friday, October 9, 2020, Wiley Funeral Home, Glen Rose.  Family will greet friends from 5:00 PM -6:00 PM, Friday at the funeral home.

Joe was born on July 24, 1953 in Meridian, Texas to William and Agnus Ridings.  He was married to Cherry Ridings for over 35 years.    He always took care of his family and he loved hanging with his grandchildren.

Joe was a heavy equipment operator for Somervell County for over 30 years.  He was an antique car enthusiast, and he loved doing word searches and taking naps in the parking lot.

Joe’s favorite restaurants were Chachis and Los Promos, where he always went for their hamburgers. He also loved meeting up with friends at Debbie’s Restaurant for coffee.  He was preceded in death by his wife: Cherilynn Ridings, grandson: Jacob, and parents: William and Agnus Ridings.

Joe is survived by his children: Courtney Connor, Joey Ridings and wife Alysa, Crystal Woodard and husband Stephen, and Jodie Eames and husband Zane, brother: Don Ridings, sister: Reta Newman and husband Dale, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many loving extended family members.
