DECORDOVA — Joe H. Hall, loving husband and beloved father, 82, passed away, Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011, at his home in DeCordova Bend Estates in Granbury.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Acton. Interment: Acton Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, Acton, or People Helping People.
Joe was born Aug. 15, 1929, in Lubbock to Jesse Almer Hall and Virgie Kissiah Courtney Hall. He married Mary Reed McConnell, Feb. 14, 2001, in San Antonio. Joe was a member of the DCBE Men’s Golf Association and a member of The Society of Professional Engineers. He also belonged to the Rotary Club, was an Eagle Scout and played semi-pro baseball. He was a partner in the Whitaker-Hall Architectural Firm in Lubbock. Joe had worked in Saudi Arabia as an architect and structural engineer. Joe designed the airport and the Altura Towers in Lubbock and Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Acton. Joe was a Christian and a member of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church where he served as a lay reader.
Survivors: Wife of 10 years, Mary Reed Hall; children and spouses, Janice and Gerry Mouton, Lisa and Scott Hoff, Pam Horton, Lyn and Scott Tackett, Bruce and Rebecca Hall, Michael and Staci Hall; grandchildren, Daniel Hall, James Hall, Deborah Hall, Andrew Hall, Chelsea Mouton, Morgan Hoff, Nicholas Horton, Jessica Horton, Rachel White, O’Brien Hall, Kenna Hall; stepdaughter, Brenda Schrader and husband, Bill; stepgrandchildren, Billy Schrader, James Schrader; sister, Barbara Cain; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
