Joey was born April 6, 1954 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to C. Edwin Corley and Irene Grace (Anderson) Corley.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and after serving he became a diesel mechanic for heavy equipment and worked in the coal mines of Colorado and New Mexico until his retirement in 2001. Since 2001 he has enjoyed being with family and friends traveling and enjoying life.
Joe spent his life wanting to have fun, be with his family and did as much as he possibly could for as long as he could. He was an avid ATV rider and would go with anybody who would go with him. His favorite spots to ride were in Ouray, Colorado and Cloudcroft, New Mexico with family and friends. His other hobbies included attending NASCAR races with friends and family, snowmobiling, camping, and hunting (or at least shooting at stuff)!
As a mechanic and general “I can do it man” he could fix about anything and has almost every tool known to man to do the job. He loved working in his shops tearing things apart and putting them back together and was good at it. He believed in teaching others how to fix things including his son, daughters and his wife. He always said it didn’t matter who you are, you can learn to fix almost anything.
Joe loved being around family and friends and they loved him. He was especially proud of his three children and his wife who loved him unconditionally. His three granddaughters, Ava, Aria and Skyelynn were always able to make him smile and brighten up his day whenever they came to see him.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Irene and Edwin Corley; his grandparents, Chester and Flora Anderson, Zeke and Mabel Corley, and his brothers, Timmy and Dennis Corley.
He is survived by his wife, Donna J Corley of Haslet; his children, Jeffrey L Corley and wife, Elise of Haslet, Chelsea Belkowski of Fort Worth, and Brittany J Corley and husband, Dalton of Haslet; his granddaughters, Ava and Aria Corley and Skyelynn Patton all of Haslet; his cousins, Michael Mitchell and wife, Sunny and Joneva Welle and husband, Dan; along with several cousins in other states.
