GRANBURY — John C. MacKinnon, 76 passed away Monday, Sept. 17 in Granbury.
Memorial service: 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at Wiley Funeral Home.
Memorials: Down Syndrome Society.
Mr. MacKinnon was born May 23, 1936 in Lawrence, MA. to John Thomas and Mary Isabel Calder MacKinnon. He married Carol Foster July 4, 1964 in Palm Springs, Calif. He spent a lifetime working in Construction and Engineering. He loved to play golf, fishing and sailing. He liked to cook and care for his family. A quick witted man, he loved to make people laugh and enjoyed travelling with his wife.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, wife and a son, Billy MacKinnon. Survivors: son Ian MacKinnon and wife Sesaly of Granbury; daughter Laurie MacKinnon Humphreys and husband Bryan of Grapevine; grandchildren: Calder Sauer, Jillian Sauer, Sydney Humphreys, Blake Moss, Bryce Moss and Allison MacKinnon; sister Mary Haas and husband Jim of Orlando, Fl.; nieces and nephews: Maura Warfield, James Haas, Jr., Heather Kreider and Chris Haas and a number of great nieces and nephews.
