CLEBURNE — John Carlton Crook, 87, passed away Thursday, Apr. 30, 2015 in Cleburne.
Graveside service: 3 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015 in Squaw Creek Cemetery in Rainbow. Visitation: 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Wiley Funeral Home in Glen Rose.
John was born Aug. 14, 1927 in Cleburne to John Albert Crook and Madge Lena Jones Crook. He married Billie Pauline Bohannon on Sept. 2, 1947 in Granbury. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 43 years. John was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors: Wife, Billie Crook; children, Jimmy Charles Crook and wife, Teresa of Albuquerque, NM, Ronny Carl Crook and wife, Irena of Burleson and Tommy Ervin Crook and wife, Stacy of Cleburne; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sisters, Norma Lou Moore of Hurst and Ruby Nell Patrick of Tennessee; several nieces and nephews.
