John’s life will be celebrated at 10am on Friday, December 13, 2019, at St. Timothy Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Bedford, Texas.
Friends and family are encouraged to attend the Visitation on Thursday, December 12, 2019, from 6-8pm, at Biggers Funeral Home in Fort Worth, Texas.
John was born on December 3, 1928, to Jackson Francis Crawford and Mattie Florence Wilkerson in Pattonville, Texas. He and his wife, Marion Chudoba Crawford, recently commemorated their 66th wedding anniversary in November of this year.
John served in both the United States Marine Corps and the United States Army. He was a member of the Fort Worth Police Officer Reserves for several years and retired as a supervisor from Bell Helicopter after more than 30 years of service. John was actively involved with their sons’ little league teams and Boy Scout troops. John could fix anything and loved ice cream and watermelon.
He is preceded in death by his parents, five siblings, and ten half-siblings.
John leaves behind three sons and their wives, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. . He is also survived by his older half-sister, Winnie Crawford Steele.
Because we want to celebrate his service to our country and his life, John’s family asks that you wear red, white, and blue to the service and/or visitation.
