John Stephen Bridges, 52 years of age, departed from us on August 1, 2022, in Fort Worth, TX, due to liver complications. John was surrounded by his loved ones in his last moments, and passed peacefully to join his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
A Celebration of Life: 11:00 am Thursday, September 1, 2022 in Biggers Funeral Chapel, Lake Worth.
John Bridges was born April 11, 1970 in Burbank, California. He is survived by his beloved children, Madeline and Jack Bridges. John leaves behind his mother, Karen Bridges and his four elder brothers, Chris, Paul, Matt and Joe Bridges, along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Terrell Bridges.
Terrell moved his family to Oregon in 1979. John attended Aloha High School, College of the Siskiyous, and received his Bachelor of Science in Communications from Oregon State University.
Oregon State University is where he met, Shelly Ann Buchholz. In 1998, they welcomed Madeline Ann, followed by the birth of Jack Terrell in the year 2001. In 2007, they relocated their family to Southlake, Texas.
John enjoyed a wide variety of sports competitively and recreationally. He participated in basketball, hockey, golf, tennis, snow skiing, football and motocross. John continued his passion for sports in various Marathons, Ultra-Marathons, Triathlons, Half Ironman’s and he completed Ironman Canada.
John, with his unique ability to connect with people, was a very successful salesman. He decided to utilize his communication skills, and his expertise in the Corrugated Packaging industry. John became a business entrepreneur, first as a Sole Proprietor in 2009, and he then went on to create BridgePort Packaging, LLC., in 2011.
John traveled often for work, and made several long-lasting friends from all over the U.S. He will be lovingly remembered by many for his passion of life, his loyalty and his extreme generosity, but most of all, for his pride and joy when sharing a picture, or telling an achievement of his children.
