After receiving news of Johns passing I told my brother he has to be one of the top 3 most interesting people I have ever met. I could listen to John tell stories for hours and still be laughing. I will miss our lunches together, his early evening visits at the campfire, and his insight on current events. RIP John we miss you already.

A note about my brother, John... He was hands down one of the best around, and I miss him. We fished together, played poker together, and talked about any and everything. Some of our favorite times together was fishing Lake Whitney -- his boat and my latest recipe for our picnic lunch. He loved being the guinea pig! He'd immediately say, "What are we having today and when?" After a few hours of fishing and the morning had warmed up, we'd find a cove, still the boat, and chow down. The conversation would roam from poker to food to gardening, finances, relationships -- whatever came to mind. I miss those times already. One eye, bad heart, no matter. John would say, "Hell, it's hot, I'm going to find a cabin in Minnesota for the summer" -- which he did every year. John didn't talk about doing stuff. He just did it. Nike should have hired that cat! What a privilege to have known and enjoyed life with such a generous and loving friend.
