Johnathan Paul Ortega, 21, of Fort Worth, TX passed away unexpectedly in his home on the early morning of July 18, 2021. He was employed at TriSmart Solar, where he looked forward to continuing pursuing his career as an electrician.
Memorial Service: 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Biggers Funeral Home Chapel
Johnathan was born on April 5, 2000 to Rosalinda Valdez and Arthur Ortega Sr. He grew up in North Fort Worth. He developed an interest early on in skateboarding and he would spend many hours at skate parks and at J. P. Elder attempting his latest stunts with friends. He was a dare devil by nature and loved to attempt anything that presented a physical challenge.
He met the love of his life, Katelynn, in December of 2017. He knew from that day forward she would one day become his wife. They welcomed their greatest pride, Christian, on January 3, 2020. Johnathan was so excited to be a dad, and he was a natural. He strived to be the best husband and father for his little family, and he pushed to be his best self for them. They truly were his greatest motivators in life.
Johnathan was best known for, aside from his dimples, his heart. He loved and cherished family and friendships dearly, and he was always a friend when he was most needed. He never hesitated to help a stranger in need, and he would put the needs of others before his own.
The family has suggested memorial contributions be made in honor of Johnathan to any of the following, the AFSP of North Texas, Tarrant County MHMR L.O.S.S., the SC Center of North Texas, the Grant Halliburton Foundation or any local non-profit organization geared toward addressing mental health battles faced by individuals every single day.
