Joshua Lee Sexton passed from this life on Oct. 5, 2019 and was born on June 17, 1980 in Granbury, TX to Alan Josh Sexton and Lisa Lynn Thomas. He attended school there and made many friends. He met Brandy Riddle and they had a son together, Joshua Lee Sexton II who is 14 years old. He enjoyed spending time with him and was so proud of him.
Josh went on to travel the United States working in places like Colorado, Washington, and eventually planting his roots in New Buffalo, Michigan, where he enjoyed playing golf and spending time at the beach on Lake Michigan. Josh was a very talented carpenter and took great pride in his work.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Doris Gantt Henderson. Survivors include his dad, Alan Josh Sexton, his mother, Lisa Lynn Thomas and stepdad Mark Thomas, his son Joshua Lee Sexton II, his sisters Somer Sexton and Dedra Koerth and husband Melvin, his niece’s K’leigh Ridge and husband Ryan, Ashleigh Vaughn, and Kirsten Favors. His nephews Royse and Spencer Vaughn, Laramye Koerth, and Blake Favors who he loved very much. Also, his grandma Charlene, his aunt Kim, uncle Cliffie, and many other cousins and family and friends who loved him very much.
A memorial service will be held in Granbury, TX at Martin’s Funeral Home Saturday October 19, 2019 at 2:00 PM. Any donations can be made in his honor to his son Joshua Lee Sexton II.
