Juanita Alvis Waldroup Pickett, 84, of Granbury, passed away Monday, July 30, 2018. Juanita was born January 31, 1934 in Commerce, Texas to Alvis and Martha Mitchell. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed bowling on a league with her husband. She and her husband, Wayne enjoyed riding their Honda-Goldwing motorcycle and touring all over Texas with her brother- in- law and his wife. She loved animals, especially all her pets. She was an active member of North Euless Baptist Church.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; husbands: Sam James Waldroup and Troy “Wayne” Pickett; son: Michael James Waldroup, and siblings: Alvis Michael Mitchell and Beatrice Bates.
Juanita is survived by her children: Nita Walton and Debra Shearon; daughter-in-law: Sandra Waldroup; grandchildren: G.J. Walton and wife Jennifer, Michael Walton, Kimberlie Snell and husband Wes, Donivan Shearon and wife Megan, Lacey Hammond and husband Richard, Hannah Shipp and husband Connor, Jeremy Waldroup and wife Kendra, Corey Waldroup and Candice Waldroup; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
She will be greatly missed.
