Juanita Blackburn Shaw passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 5, 2018, from a brain aneurysm. She leaves us with the comfort of knowing she was a Christian.
Graveside Service: 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Ash Creek Cemetery, 300 S. Stewart St. in Azle.
Juanita was born in Fort Worth on November 1, 1948, along with her twin sister, Bonita, to John and Clara Blackburn. She grew up in the Azle area and graduated from Azle High School in 1967. Juanita married Glen Robert (Bob) Shaw in 1968. She was a member of the Eagle Mountain Baptist Church.
Juanita was a fine mother and wife, loved by her family and will be deeply missed by all. Juanita worked as a florist, business owner, and retired as a Tarrant County Corrections Officer. She was very creative and talented, creating floral designs and custom jewelry. She was also a seamstress and hair stylist.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Billy Blackburn; and sister, Peggy Davidson.
Survivors: She is survived by her husband, Bob; sister, Bonita Blake; children, Glen Robert Shaw (Michelle), Sherry Curry (Jose’), and John Shaw (Tammy); four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
