GRANBURY — June Medford, 86, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012, in Fort Worth.
Service: 2 p.m. Sunday at Acton Baptist Church. Burial: Acton Cemetery in Hood County. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Medford was born June 25, 1925, in Haskell, to James Anderson and Lelia Montgomery Cox. She had lived in Granbury for 21 years having retired form John Hancock Insurance Company. She was a member of Acton Baptist Church where she served on the staff. In previous years she had been in Order of Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry E. Medford Jr.; and sister, Mo Smith.
Survivors: Daughters, Sandy Bowman and husband, Ray, of Augusta, Ga., Deborah Dye of Lewisville; son, Henry E. Medford III and wife, Donna, of Warren, Maine; grandchildren, Courtney McCash and husband Jason, Josh Dye and wife, Kelsey, Meghan Medford and Amanda Medford; great-grandchildren, Katherine McCash, Owen McCash, Jordan Medford and Henry Sanborn; sister, Virginia Austin and husband, Jimmy, of Beaumont; and several nieces and nephews.
