Karen was born on February 13, 1987 in Monterrey, Mexico to Javier and Lupita Calderon. She met her husband Eddie at youth camp and it was love at first sight. They were married on August 13, 2003 in Waco, Texas. Travelling to different places together were one of the things that they enjoyed.
Karen was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, and granddaughter. Time spent with her family was cherished. She was an accomplished flutist. For fun, she enjoyed shopping and spending time outdoors. She was preceded in death by her grandmother: Andrea Castaneda.
Karen is survived by her husband Eddie Castro, son: Abraham, daughter: Avah, parents: Javier and Lupita Calderon, grandfather: Santos Castaneda, brother: Daniel Castaneda, sister: Kate Nicole Calderon and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
