GRANBURY — Karen Plumlee, 66, joined her Lord and Savior, Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at her residence.
Funeral: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at Granbury First Christian Church. Burial: Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Bluff Dale. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Plumlee was born Mar. 5, 1946, in Durant, Okla., to Vernon and Gladys Rizzotto Gossett and they preceded her in death. She married Steve Plumlee, Sept. 19, 1969, in Garland, Texas. She was a member of Granbury First Christian Church. While working in the Garland ISD for many years, she made many special friends.
Survivors: Husband, Steve Plumlee of Granbury; sons, Michael Plumlee and wife, Christy, of Bluff Dale, Kevin Plumlee and Adrienne Dwulet, of Austin; grandchildren, Kaylin Plumlee, Lanie Plumlee, Cade Plumlee; sister, Glenda Alford of Garland.

Dear Steve, Michael and Kevin, I was shocked to read about Karen's death in the Dallas Morning News. I have many fond memories of our friendship when our children were very young. In fact, we were pregnant at the same time with Kevin and Renee. My heart goes out to you! Deidra Russell P.S. My sweet husband, David, passed away three years ago of kidney cancer. I know some of what you are going through.
