Kay Lynn Amerson, 67, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016, in Fort Worth.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Whitt Cemetery in Parker County. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Kay Lynn was born May 15, 1948, in Fort Worth to Lawrence L. and Mary Mills Golightly. She married James Edward Amerson on September 22, 1990, in Colleyville and they have lived in Parker County for 20 years. She retired from Southwestern Bell in the late 1990s after 33 years of service. In retirement her time was spent with her gardening, antiques, her family, and her pets.
Mrs. Amerson was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Karen Golightly; and son, Troy Amerson.
He is survived by her husband, Jimmy; sons, Shawn Morgan and wife, Cindy, and Todd Amerson; daughters, Erin Amerson and Holly Wood; cousins, Rene Clark, Terry Brent and Janet Mathews; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
