Kenneth Floyd Willson, 70, went peacefully to his heavenly home Thursday, February 17, 2022. He was born October 30, 1951 to Edward Clair and Alice Graham Willson in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Kenny, affectionately known as KennyBob, was married to the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Terri (T-Pot), for 49 years. He enjoyed traveling, golfing, and watching his favorite sports teams, Oklahoma State Cowboys and the Dallas Cowboys. But what he loved most was spending time with his family.

 

Kenny graduated in 1969 from Northwest Classen High School in Oklahoma City, where he was a member of the wrestling team. Kenny was a proud graduate of Oklahoma State University with a B.S. and a Masters of Education degree. He was an active member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity while attending OSU.

 

Upon graduation from OSU, Kenny taught elementary school in Tulsa, OK at Celia Clinton and Emerson elementary schools. He then went to work for Pixley Lumber in Claremore, OK as an advertising and marketing manager from 1977 to 2005. Upon his retirement, Kenny worked as a part time bank teller at First National Bank in Granbury. While living in Claremore, he was active in serving on the Chamber of Commerce board, and Rogers County Youth Services where he served as director. He was also Rogers County Republican Party Chairman and Chairman of Will Rogers Days Committee. He also served as United Way Director.

 

Kenny is preceded in death by brothers, Darrell Willson and Terry Willson; sister, Anita Coast and her husband Gerald.

 

Kenny leaves behind to cherish his memory, loving wife, Terri Willson; children, Laurie Short and husband Mark, Drew Willson and wife Kim; grandchildren, Carter and Colby Short; sister, Mary Atkisson and husband Paul; sister-in-law, Nancy Willson; and numerous extended family and friends.
