Kenneth “Ken” Woods from Fort Worth Texas, went to Heaven on January 21, 2022, at 5:54pm. His loving and devoted wife Sandy and his loyal daughter Amber were both hugging him when he went to Heaven. Ken was 50 years young. Ken was born November 2, 1971, the son of Donald and Gwendlin Woods.
Service: 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 10, 2022 at The Creek Church.
Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington, Texas

Ken was preceded in death by his father Donald Neal Woods. He is survived by his loving mother Gwendlin K. Woods.
Ken is also survived by his loyal and devoted wife Sandy R. Woods of 16 years. This couple was one of a kind. They enjoyed life to the fullest, enjoyed praying, traveling, and building a fantastic life together. Ken was so proud to always talk about how much he loved and adored his beautiful wife. He called Sandy his angel princess.
Surviving Children: Loving and loyal daughter Amber Norris and Son-n-law Steven, two beautiful grandsons Hagen C. Norris and Cooper H. Norris of La Vernia Texas. Hagen and Cooper absolutely adored their Grandpa, and those boys were so precious to their Grandpa. He absolutely enjoyed spending as much time with them as he could. Ken loved taking them fishing going to amusement parks, and always showing them about nature and who Jesus and God are.
Surviving Siblings: Don Woods, Tim Woods (Lisa), and Rick Woods (Kim) all from Paris Texas.
Ken is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Ken was a graduate of North Lamar High School in May 1990. After graduating high school Ken stayed focused on what his career would be. Soon after Ken enlisted in the United States Army in January 1993. Ken received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Texas A&M University-Commerce in December 1996. Ken never stopped pursuing his career. Ken Graduated with Honors with the United States Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Prisons Federal Law Enforcement training center in Georgia on October 23, 1998.
Ken began his career with the Federal Bureau of Prisons in September 1998, as a Case Manager at the Federal Correctional Complex in Beaumont, Texas. He later transferred to the Carswell Federal Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas. In October 2006, Ken transferred to the Designation and Sentence Computation Center where he worked as a Classification and Computation Specialist until he was promoted to the position of Designator. Ken was soon then promoted to Operation Manager. Ken held positions of increasing responsibility with his most recent position of Section Chief. As Section Chief, Ken served as a subject matter expert on sentence computation and designation matters. He worked as a close liaison with the United States Marshals Service, United States District Courts, the District of Columbia Superior Court, the Administrative office of the United States Courts, State agencies, the United States Parole Commission, United States Attorneys, United States Pardon Attorney’s Office, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Federal Bureau of Investigations, Justice Prisoner and Alien Transportation System, other divisions of the Department of Justice and various other governmental and non-governmental agencies. Ken was involved in a wide range of activities pertaining to the management of all inmates committed under the care of the Bureau of Prisons. Ken provided training to non-BOP personnel on BOP policies and procedures and was an outstanding spokesperson for network personnel on relevant issues impacting national policy. Ken was well respected by his peers as well as staff throughout the BOP. His presence, sense of humor and technical expertise will be missed by all.
Ken was one of a kind. He has touched and made a lasting positive impression on so many people. He will be deeply missed, and we will always cherish your memories and love in our hearts.
