Kirby Lamar Stidham

March 5, 1960 - February 20, 2022

Kirby Lamar Stidham, 61, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022.  Kirby was born March 5, 1960, in Del Rio, Texas, to Jesse Warren and Wanda JoAnn Stidham.  A memorial celebration will be held Sunday, March 20, 2022, at 2:00PM in the 1894 Building at Acton Baptist Church at Acton, Texas.

 

Kirby had earned a Technical Degree in electronics.  However, he was happiest working as a machinist. Additionally he was a self-taught mechanic, electrician and plumber.  In later years, Kirby thoroughly enjoyed watching television.  Kirby had lived in Junction, Arlington, Corpus Christi, San Angelo and Odessa, moving to Granbury, Texas, in 2020.

 

Kirby was preceded in death by both parents and brothers Jesse Warren Stidham, Jr., and Marshall Ames Stidham, and sisters Jo Arliss Stidham and Carla Diane Dunn.  Surviving Kirby are three daughters, Jennifer Whitaker, Sara Stewart and Krista Rowden and several grandchildren.  Surviving siblings are Kenneth and Monty Stidham, Rebecca Rowntree, Dayna Rolando and Tammie Thomas.

I have wonderful memories of Kirby. I was friends with his Mother, Wanda, and I loved going to their home and visit them. We would sit around the table and talk and laugh. One of the cherished memory of them. It was an honor and privilege to know them. Kirby was a quiet man, but would talk easily to you. He was a nice guy and had a very nice smile. May he rest in peace.

My memories of Kirby come from when we were all small children. We gathered often to visit our family and grandmother. He had a lot of siblings. I always admired that. He was a very sweet person. Always looking after his mother. As we all grew up , everyone moved on in life, gatherings became fewer, especially as grandparents and parents passed on. My sincerest condolences to all the family and friends of Kirby. My memories will live on in my heart.❤️ May God comfort all who loved him. 💞
